Over the last 5 days, the Metaverse Wire was interrupted due to a chacheing problem. This caused the website not to update websites during this period. Currently, the problem has been fixed and is under control. I apologize for this inconvenience, and continue to work on ways to ensure this problem does not occur again.

[ LuNi ] is pleased to announce that we are taking part in Another Fundraiser II! this event brings together many designers from all around the grid, to create skins using the free eloh elliot templates, this year we were also given the choice to use splendor skins and some resources from mina jun’s skin line! all proceeds from this event will go directly to the red cross to help out with the disaster relief in japan.
because this event is for japan, we decided to create skins based on japanese makeup styles.
Hannya-Girl Glam mixes the traditional style of kubuki makeup with the contemporary style of gold glitter eyeshadow.
Visual kei is a hat tip to the elaborate makeup styles of j-rock musicians.
ganguro girl brings the unique style of the ganguro sub-culture straight from the streets of shibuya.

The Metaverse has many charitable organizations, events, and groups whom often reach out and make attempts to help each other in times of need. This is best seen in Second Life with events, such as “Relay For Life”. To help bring awareness to the charitable events, organizations and groups, a new Charity Category was created for the Metaverse Wire.
Along with previous, automatically syndication rules, charitable groups and websites, focused within Second Life, the OpenSims or any other Metaverse related worlds are encouraged to submit their website for inclusion to the Metaverse Wire.
The charity category will be closely monitored, and content that isn’t appropriate, will result in that content being removed, and possibly a removal of the source website.
Since the server move on March 7th, 2011, there have been some additional improvements to the Metaverse Wire, to make sure the best performance, and organization of the feed. Due to server migration, platform changes, and website maintenance, the Metaverse Wire will be experiencing downtime throughout the weekend. The service should be fully operational by March 8th, 2011.
