I’m glad I went to Barney and Flo’s Show And Tell at Avaria today.

This animusic-like device by Cuteulala Artis (apollosmile resident) uses a HUD for programming-control.

Very impressive.

Apple MacKay and Katydid Something are pleased to announce that the reins of Molaskey’s Pub will be passed to Dreams Riler and her company, Higher Ground Music.

Founded in December of 2009, Higher Ground Music has been working in the music community connecting musicians and venue, and trained hosts and venues.

Riler believes Molaskey’s Pub is a perfect extention for Higher Ground Music. “I want to leave everything just as it is. I simply wish to add HGM as it’s partner,” she explains.

“I think it’s a good fit,” Something says. “Dreams has been providing services in the live music community and knows many of the personalities. She is dedicated to maintaining Molaskey’s Pub as it is, including the standards we have set for the pub. She is even keeping those of the staff who want to stay.”

Molaksey’s Pub will close on May first for a couple of weeks to transition ownership, make decisions about the schedule to fit with the timetable of the new owners, and to address inventory issues. Katy Something will stay on for a while to assist with the transition.

“Molaksey’s Pub will reopen in the middle of May and will celebrate the passing of the torch with a huge party with all the musicians who have helped put Molaskey’s Pub on the SL Map” Something says.

Apple MacKay says, “We saw this as an opportunity for our work of love to live on in the community. So many venues just close, but we felt that although we may no longer be directly involved, Molaskey’s Pub could still carry on as being one of the premiere venues in the Second Life Live Music Scene.”

Established in March 2007, Molaskey’s Pub was built by Apple MacKay is named for Katydid Something’s RL Grandfather’s family name. Regular music began in July, 2007 with weekly shows by Lyndon Heart and Maximillion Kleene. Soon other musicians added their talents including regulars Capos Calderwood, TallGuy Kidd, Skinny Shepherd, Patrick LaSalle, Wendy Curtis, Dallas Horsefly, BartAlan Barbasz. The program expanded to include Monday evenings and, later, every other Thursday evenings. The list of performers expanded to include the likes of Zak Claxton, Frets Nirvana, Bara Jonson, JueL Resistance, Cylindrian Rutabaga, Russell Eponym, P.M. Bookmite, Bonnikins Marguis, Lexie Luan-Smith, EvaMoon Ember, Craig Lyons, DarkShore, FrankLee Anatra, TerryLynn Melody, DirtyDee Sweetwater, John Vohin, Tone Uriza and many more. The venue attracts many of SL’s top notch performers.

Molaskey’s was the last place I saw Delinda, and she and I listened to Cylindrian Rutabaga that night, hatching our nefarious plans for Project 88.

I’m glad it’s going to stay. And I think she’d be glad, too.
