Wishing For Legs

It has been a couple days since the Fantasy Faire 2012 started and I am still visiting my way through the sims and the shops within the sims and there really is a HUGE fantasy side to Second Life I had no idea about!  There are trolls, and elves and all sorts of mystical creatures wandering, flying and swimming around the sims taking in the events.  One could really go just to creature watch and be amazed by the creativity of some of these outfits/avatars people have put together with the talented creators of Second Life.

Another shop I am in love with at the Fantasy Faire 2012 is Mermaid Treasure & Boutique which is on the Siren’s Secret Sim.  They have several donation items (Relay For Life) at their Faire location as well as some beautiful new releases.  The Mermesh Mermaid in purple I am wearing above includes the mesh fins as well as the seashell bra and can be yours with a minimum donation of 250L.  The Tribal Accessories in purple you see peeking out of my hair are a 100L donation item.

Below I am modelling the Lo’s Passion Mermaid Set (min. 500L donation item) and the Limited Edition Crystal Mermaid Crown Set that includes the crown and also the necklace in purple.  (min. 100L donation item).

If there is one thing a mermaid always wishes to do, it’s dance on real legs and the Merrow Pavillion below is the perfect place to do it.  This is available at Mermaid Treasure & Boutique for a minimum 200L donation!  It’s fantastic under the sea or above water.  It is HUGE – you can see my little avatar in the center of the pavillion to show you the size of it.

Fantasy Faire 2012

The Fantasy Faire 2012 is currently happening in Second Life. I enjoy this faire do to the fact that I never have major issues with lag, it is so well-organized, it’s pretty, & virtual people watching is awesome. Especially when you’ll run into all sorts of characters. I enjoyed visiting last year & know that this year will be just as wonderful.

Hope I Don't Fall In!

I do want to tell everyone to please watch out for the tinies. I’ve been kicked & stepped on a lot. And I’m not talking about being stepped on in areas that are jam-packed full of people. I’m talking something around three people groups. Tinies aren’t as small as a mini or petite, which I’ve been stepped on as a mini as well, so just be mindful that the little dog next to you might actually be an avatar.

My public service announcement of the day there folks.

I know that you’ll find a lot of people writing about the fashion & items you will find at this years faire. I just wanted to be nice & pass on the information about the faire to you as well as share a few photos I took during my multiple visits. This faire is important to me as it benefits the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Something that is a big deal to me as well as many people around the grid.

Can You Spot My Mini Dragon?

This year, to do my part, I purchased an outfit for my bulldog named “Stormy Day Tiny”. It comes with rain hat, boots, coat, umbrella, & a little rain cloud to go above your head.  You can purchase it at the faire at  Totally Tinies (Faire Location) It is located on a Relay For Life board.

These gorgeous new skins for Fantasy Faire come from De La Soul and come in six different colours with matching ears that fit perfectly (add an ear alpha layer and it hides your human ear perfectly). The skins are just so gorgeous and can’t even decide which colour I love the most.

FF - Pacific Sunrise

Have you visited the Fantasy Faire 2012yet?  This mystical fair  starts today, Saturday April 21st, and runs until Sunday April 29th.  Thousands of Second Life residents and designers rally together to help support The American Cancer Society.  There are many activities and events going on such as live music concerts, auctions, jail and bail and of course shopping in the merchant shops of the creators participating in event spread out over nine AMAZING looking sims.

Pacific Sunrise, which can be found on The Siren’s Secret Sim, has a few donation items in their shop at The Fantasy Faire!  For a minimum donation of just 300L (each) you can pick up the Syrena On Stranger Tides Mermaid Outfit in the women’s version shown above, and also an adorable petite version below for those very popular new Fallen Gods Petite avatars.  The mermaid outfits include all sorts of fun fishy layers like skin gloss, and scales as well as different modesty tops.   If you are in the market for a new mermaid outfit, make sure you head down to the Fantasy Faire 2012 and support the cause too!
